Alex oversees the engineering and architecture efforts for all of Alyan’s endeavors. His primary focus is implementing custom applications that precisely target customers’ needs. While Alex has led projects on many different technology stacks, including mobile apps and embedded systems, he’s particularly passionate about cloud-based solutions. Alex designs secure, cost-efficient, and scalable cloud environments that grow and adapt along with our customers.

Alex began his career working in enterprise IT for a Fortune 100 manufacturer. He spent 7 years building custom applications that were critical to day-to-day operations and supply chain strategy. Alex served as a lead engineer, an infrastructure architect, and a product manager. This varied background brings a holistic view of software creation, resulting in resilient solutions customers can count on.

Alex earned his bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from The University of Pittsburgh. Though based in Pittsburgh, Alex spends most of his time on the go. His wife’s career as a traveling ER nurse frequently takes them and their dog to new cities. Alex has a passion for coffee, trying new cafes as he travels and trying to perfect his own espresso at home. He also enjoys golfing and tinkering with electronics.
